Be aware of hidden fees! I have been going to Adelaide Nails and Beauty for the last 9 months and consistently seeing Lee (who is a sweetheart, and she's great at nail art) a few times I've had a walk in and had 0 issues. Today I had a walk in and I'm very disappointed and dissatisfied with the service i received and for this reason i will not be returning. I asked for stiletto nails with two feature nails with a different colour. The green nail is the length I wanted and as you can see the black nails are longer than the rest. Three times i said "the right hand is longer than the rest, can you please fix it" on the third go a filing the manicurist refused to file anymore. I had a gentleman start my acrylic and when another client arrived, he left me and started her even though it was just us in salon and there was plenty of staff to do her service. I then had a different lady for my filing and a third did my polish. When asked if I liked them, I pointed out that my nails still were not the length I wanted and I was told "Oh you're just holding your hands unevenly they're all the same length." It feels like staff decides what you're going to have and too bad if you don't like it! In the past I have had this exact manicure and paid $55, today I was told I was going to be charged $75!!! I asked for a breakdown and was told I was being charged for having extra long nails - even though they refused to make them the length I asked for three times! When I mentioned that this extra fee was not listed on the menu this fee was waived. I was also told that I was being charged for extra colours. Even though I have not been charged extra for a feature nail in the past, and did not have additional glitter or nail art. I also found out at the front counter that a full set of acrylic is $45 but if you want polish it would be $60! This is the first time I've heard of this additional fee in all the time I've been loyal to Adelaide Nails and Beauty. At the checkout I was told that my nails were "just too difficult", by the gentleman who started my manicure and who I'm assuming is the owner. Overall, I felt like an inconvenience to be a walk in client even though when I arrived I was the only person there. I was very disappointed that the manicurist(s) didn't listen to me and I was anxious to speak up when I didn't like the service. I was also very embarrassed at the till as the final fee was a total surprise and I ened up needing to borrow money from a friend as the fee was way out of my budget. Please be aware of the fee before they start your service.

Customer service was great but overall I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. I paid an extra $20 on top of $55 for SNS to get a navy metallic colour done. Turns out the product painted on top of the black SNS powder is not particularly durable. I'm a week in and it has rubbed and chipped off on nearly every nail. I would have just stuck to regular SNS if I knew it would rub/chip off. Certainly paying an extra $20 for an inferior result is a major let down.

I used to come here often and the service was good. However, during my last two visits, the shellac was too thick and not clean. The technician rushed and overfilled my nails, causing my cuticles to bleed.

I came to this salon with a bride, mother of the bride, and myself (bridesmaid). Both the Bride and Mother of the Bride had an amazing experience, and their nails were beautiful. Unfortunately, this was not the case for me. I came in with a design and a backup design. I wanted short, squoval shaped nails. It took over 1.5 hours before my nails were shaped (they were working on them for all of this time) - the bride and mother of the bride were completely finished by this point. When it came to actually painting the nails, they attempted one design (a dark-light purple ombre) but did not have the right purple colour, and it didn't look right. They trialled one nail, and I wasn't happy, so they wiped it off and tried my backup design (a purple marble look - similar to the look of an amethyst). By this point, i had let them know we had another appointment soon, and we were in a rush. Note that i had told them this when i booked the appointment a week prior, and i made the appointment with 2.5 hours of time to ensure we were able to travel comfortably between appointments. Anyway, instead of communicating with me that they did not know how to/could not complete the design, they spend another 10 minutes trialing one nail (which looked absolutely nothing like what I showed them). Knowing i only had about 15 minutes before we had to leave, i asked for a single plain colour. We finished just in time (unfortunately, the bride and mother of the bride had to sit and wait for an hour for me to be finished). I didn't hate the end result, but I would have appreciated more communication if what I had asked for was too hard and how long it would take.
