Absolutely love Red Desert Beauty! Only people I’ll let near my nails. I’ve been going to them for years now. I have a regular fortnightly appointment. Their always accomodating and friendly. Nothing is ever too much for them. The girls have become my friends and I truly look forward to seeing them each fortnight. I’m always made to feel welcome and comfortable there. I highly recommend them for all things beauty related.
Such a beautiful salon with great staff, I always have a great time here. Victoria is fantastic and will go above and beyond to ensure all your nail needs and wants are met. Highly recommend for an amazing set of claws and great company.
The owner was awful to me because I was late a couple of times. She also wouldn't allow me to see any of the other technicians there after she decided she doesn't like me. She would leave sharp edges on my nails and I would have to clean them up with my own file after every visit and she got nasty or snap at me if I tried to point out something that I wanted fixed during my appointments. I would often apologise for being difficult because I have sensory issues and the owner would respond with "you are not as bad as this other client I have" - confirming that I am difficult. When the conversation in the salon was about poverty or struggling to wake up each day the owner would react like she didn't know what that was like and it gave me a bad vibe. Each time I saw her I just felt like she was saying mean things about me behind my back and finally the casual and dismissive way she spoke to me when she decided to cancel all my future appointments, it just made me feel awful and I know she is glad about that. I would not recommend going to this nail salon, the other nail technicians there are quite lovely, but the owner is a "mean girl". She once said "I wonder how many times I'll get hit on" when talking about going on a cruise ship.
